Atiku’s Aide Raises Fresh Concerns Over Tinubu’s Certificates
Tinubu’s Credentials Still Raise Questions — Paul Ibe Claims
Paul Ibe, media adviser to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu still has questions to answer regarding his certificates, educational background, and personal records.
Speaking during an interview on News Central TV, Ibe argued that controversies surrounding the president’s academic credentials and background continue to generate public debate.
According to him, the lingering issues remain a “cloud” over the president’s public image until they are fully addressed with transparency.
Ibe made the remarks while reacting to the recent appearance of Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Tinubu, on Al Jazeera, where Bwala defended the policies and actions of the current administration.
The Atiku aide claimed that Bwala’s appearance exposed what he described as contradictions between the adviser’s previous criticisms of Tinubu and his current role defending the administration.
He argued that Bwala’s attempt to justify the government highlights the difficulty of defending issues that he believes remain unresolved.
Ibe also stated that the controversies surrounding Tinubu’s academic records and personal background were not conclusively settled in court.
According to him, rulings by the Supreme Court of Nigeria and the presidential election tribunal focused mainly on procedural issues, stating that such matters should have been raised before the election as pre-election cases.
However, Ibe maintained that the debate about the president’s credentials and background continues in the public space.
In his words:
“The truth remains that Bola Tinubu has questions about his parentage, his certificates, and the schools he attended. The cloud will continue to hang over him until those issues are dealt with exhaustively.”
The comments have added to the ongoing political debate surrounding the administration and its critics.
