Nollywood Star Charles Inojie Says He Is Not Igbo

Veteran Nollywood actor Charles Inojie has clarified his ethnic identity, stating that he is not Igbo but from the Esan people of Edo State, Nigeria.
The actor made the statement during an interview on the show Curiosity Made Me Ask, where he addressed a long-standing misunderstanding about his background.
According to Inojie, he has repeatedly clarified his identity but people still mistakenly refer to him as Igbo.
“I am not an Igbo man. I have said over 10 times that I am unrepentantly Edo, Esan to be specific. I don’t know where you got Igbo from,” he said.
During the interview, the actor also spoke about his career and the admiration he receives from fans who say they want to become like him.
While appreciating the love and support, Inojie advised aspiring entertainers not to limit their ambitions to his level of success.
According to him, young people should aim higher and work toward surpassing the achievements of those they admire.
The veteran actor emphasized that such ambition can inspire growth and help the next generation achieve even greater success in the entertainment industry.
