Cleric Speaks on Possible ADC Presidential Candidate for 2027
Ayodele Warns Nigeria of Security Threats Amid 2027 Political Talks
The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has predicted that the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2027 general election could likely go to either Atiku Abubakar or former Nigerian president Goodluck Jonathan.
Speaking during a media interaction, Ayodele said the opposition party’s presidential race may eventually narrow down to the two prominent political figures.
“The ADC ticket is between Atiku. If they don’t give it to Atiku, they will bring it to Jonathan,” he said.
According to the cleric, internal negotiations and political calculations within the party could determine who eventually emerges as the candidate ahead of the 2027 Nigerian presidential election.
Ayodele also used the opportunity to raise concerns about Nigeria’s security situation, warning authorities to remain vigilant about potential threats.
He urged government officials and political leaders to strengthen national security awareness and improve communication strategies to address emerging risks.
While the prediction has generated reactions online, political analysts note that discussions around potential candidates are still at an early stage as parties prepare for the next election cycle.
