Pastor Adeboye Warns Christians Not to Alter God’s Perfect Work
“You Cannot Improve on God’s Work” — Adeboye Tells Believers
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has cautioned Christians against trying to alter or “improve” what God has already perfected.
Adeboye made the statement during a recent sermon while explaining the perfection of God’s creation and why believers should trust divine wisdom.
Quoting Book of Ecclesiastes 3:14, the cleric emphasized that everything God does is complete and perfect.
According to him:
“Whatever God does shall be forever. You cannot add to it or remove from it.”
Adeboye explained that the scripture highlights the completeness of God’s work and warns against human attempts to modify what has already been perfected.
“When you try to do that, you are about to mess things up,” he said.
The respected pastor also spoke about the uniqueness of every human being, describing each person as a perfect creation of God.
Referencing biblical teachings attributed to King David, Adeboye noted that humans are “wonderfully and fearfully made,” emphasizing the precision of God’s craftsmanship.
He further explained that even identical twins still possess unique differences, illustrating God’s creativity in creation.
Using the example of twins he once heard about in Ghana, Adeboye said that although the brothers looked identical and shared similar fingerprints on several fingers, their thumbs were still different.
The cleric concluded the message with a prayer for his congregation, asking God to perfect everything that concerns them.
